Trained Patch
Must complete position specific training. Purchase at local Scout shops.
Interpreter Strip
To signify that a youth or adult member speaks a foreign language (one other than English). Available for purchase at local Scout shops. Requirements
Emergency Preparedness Award
Must meet Scouter requirements to earn. Requirements
Journey to Excellence
Units earning a JTE Gold, Silver or Bronze may get patches to be worn by Scouters as well as Scouts. Patch goes on right sleeve.
Veteran Award
Awarded for 5, 10, 15 and 20 years service to Scouting, awarded by local council. Requirements

Available to Scouters and Scouts. Requirements

Den Leader Training Award
Awarded upon completion of training and tenure requirements. Requires one year of tenure. Requirements
Scouter’s Training Award for Cub Scouting
Awarded upon completion of training and tenure requirements. Requires two years of tenure. Requirements
Cubmaster’s Key
Awarded upon completion of training and tenure requirements. Requires three years of tenure in position. Requirements
Unit Leader Award of Merit
For Cubmasters. Requires nomination. Requirements
Community Organization Award
You must receive an award by one of the 14 approved and listed organizations to receive this knot. More Information
Silver Beaver Award
To recognize registered Scouters of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within a council. Requirements
Special Needs Scouting Service Award
Must complete specified requirements and be nominated. Requirements
International Scouter’s Award
To recognize adult volunteers who promote international Scouting on all levels who in turn help broaden the perspectives of Scouting. Requirements
Whitney M. Young Jr. Service Award
Recognizes outstanding service by an adult individual or by an organization for demonstrated involvement in the development and implementation of Scouting opportunities for youth from rural or low-income urban backgrounds. Requirements
Adult Religious Award
Adults receiving a religious award from their religious affiliation may wear this knot on their uniform. More Information

National Den Award
Awarded for dens meeting year-round and meeting requirements. Requirements
District Award of Merit
Available to registered Scouters who render service of an outstanding nature at the district level. Requirements
George Meany Award
Awarded to Union members for service to Scouting. Must be nominated. Requirements
International Spirit Award
Available to Scouts and Scouters. Must complete requirements to receive. Requirements
Torch of Gold
To recognize individuals who have provided outstanding service in the area of Scouts with special needs. Must have minimum three years of service to Scouting. Requirements
William D. Boyce New-Unit Organizer Award
To recognize volunteers who have organized a new unit. Requirements
Wood Services Award
A national-level recognition for volunteer adults who provide outstanding service to Scouts with special needs. Requires minimum three years of service. Requirements
National Duty to God Award
For Scouters who demonstrated a commitment to faith and Scouting. Requirements
