Big Transition
It’s been awhile since I have posted. In 2019, my mother became sick and I spent the year attending hospital visits with her until she passed at the beginning of December. My father then got diagnosed with Parkinson’s shortly thereafter, COVID happened, my father passed away, and then my world turned upside down. I have a lot of blog posts that I wrote but haven’t finished posting for my Cub activities, but will be working on those soon, but my focus has shifted.
This summer, I will serve as camp director for our Cub Summer program at Black Creek Scout Reservation, but most of my focus these days is as the STEM chair for our council. As a result, I’ll be creating a new section of the website for my STEM activities. (I ran two separate camps in 2021 for the EPA Award, and have been running programs this year for the international Earth Tribe awards.) While these activities are geared for those within my council, if space is available, we are happy to have participation from out of council.
I am still available to help answer questions about Cub programming. Unfortunately, 19 adventures are being retired, so if you use my yearly program guides, you will have to make some adjustments as no replacements are being given.
Thank you to everyone who has joined me on this Scouting journey. It’s been a thrill. Here’s to more years to come!
