A couple months ago, our Cubmaster was going to be away and asked if I would step in to do the Bobcat presentation for our new Tigers. So, like any good digital mom, I took to scouring the internet to find just exactly what to do.

I saw multiple posts about doing face painting, but having a son with sensory issues, I didn’t want to force that since I didn’t know these boys very well. Instead, I opted for a simple ceremony, combining ideas from across multiple sources and adding in my own words. I also made a point to make the pin a “parents pin” instead of “mother’s pin” as we have Cubs who may not have a mother participating with them, or may have a grandparent doing the Cub journey instead.
